Position:
Kitchen and Bath Designer
The Fairfax Interiors Group has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Kitchen/Bath Designer with strong sales and account management skills.
Responsibilities include the development of a referral network, arranging and delivering seminars and other presentations to develop prospective clients, meeting with prospective clients to create CAD-based plans for kitchens, baths, home theaters, and home office remodeling projects, and working with our in-house crews to bring the designs to life.
Successful candidates should be able to do hand drafting and have some CAD experience. A BS/BA in Interior Design is preferred but not required. A positive attitude is a must.

| Position:
Book keeper / Interior Design
Trainee
The Fairfax Interiors Group has a unique opportunity for a candidate with bookkeeping experience to earn an income while training to become an Interior Designer.
The successful candidate will have a bookkeeping background with extensive knowledge of QuickBooks coupled with a desire and the ability to transition to a new career in Interior Design or Kitchen & Bath Design.
Over the initial one-year training program, the candidate will manage account payables and receivables, coordinate materials ordering and receiving, manage phone and showroom traffic and accomplish other administrative projects and tasks as assigned by the firm s management. After three months, the candidate will begin a structured training program starting with window-treatment design and sales, and progressing through fabrics and upholstery, wall treatments, color coordination, kitchen design, bath design, hand-drafting and computer-aided design techniques. Experienced and/or certified designers will deliver all training through a realistic hands-on approach.

After 3 months, the successful candidate will begin Interior Design product and sales training. | Position:
Handyman / Materials Manager
The
The Fairfax Interiors Group has an excellent opportunity for a Handyman/Materials Manager in the Northern Virginia marketplace. Responsibilities include light remodeling (pull and replace) projects, and other home repair type projects. In addition, the successful candidate will assist Lead Carpenters with demo, rough-in and finish carpentry and remodeling projects.
Successful candidates should be able to work with kitchen and bath designers, read and implement design plans/drawings and work within deadlines for each job. The successful candidate should possess carpentry and drywall skills. Tile skills are a plus. Excellent communication and customer service skills are an absolute must.
Lead Carpenters and Design Staff will provide training and guidance, and it is anticipated that the successful candidate will train to become a Lead Carpenter with the firm.
Benefits include above-market hourly pay ($14 to $18 per hour) plus bonuses, tool and gas allowance, job bonuses based on client satisfaction, 401k Retirement Plan, Flexible Spending Plan as well as a number of paid holidays and vacation days. Must have tools and transportation.
